in a live report. jon: fox news alert for you now. you are looking live at the shores of lake michigan just off chicago where this historic world war ii aircraft has been recovered. it has been lying on the bottom of lake michigan for the last 65 years or so. it was recently located, and it is being brought to the surface. this from illinois. this plane was part of a check out ride for a pilot learning to land on aircraft carriers, it was his third check out flight. they used to put the aircraft carriers on lake michigan for these practice tips. he was trying to take off and the engine sputtered and died, the plane went into the water, sank about 200 feet down and was lost until today. it is going to be put on display in the chicago area, and we should also note that a very generous donor is funding this recovery work. great news out of chicago. heather: it looks like it's been preserved pretty well there too. we will never forget ceremonies set to get underway in hawaii to mark japan's surprise attack on pearl harbor 71 years ago today. the attack killed more than 2400 americans and it lau

gathering at the state capital in lancing, michigan as the city prepares for what could be the largest demonstration in history. the legislature has now rushed through right to work legislation, and governor rick snyder is expected to sign it today. police are on hand and limbed the number of people allowed in the common areas of the capitol. president obama said the right to work bill is not about economics and has everything to do with politics. taxpayers have now made a total of about $22.7 billion overall from the government's investment in the bank rescue. aig is now fully private again. and the british bank is going to pay the u.s. a $1.9 billion penalty for breaking u.s. sanction laws. they have transferred money through the u.s. to drug car tails and nations like iron. the sweatshirt is nice and all but i could use a golden lasso. the chill of peppermint. the rich dark chocolate. york peppermint pattie get the sensation. >> she gets the comedians laughing... >> that's hilarious! >> ...and the thinkers thinking. >> okay, so there's wiggle-room in the ten command

's for sure. >> the cliff and some of the stuff happening in michigan as well. >>> netflix received a notice from the s.e.c. regulators warning that they may bring civil action against the company and reed hastings for violating public disclosure rules by posting something on facebook. back on july 3rd the ceo posted and here's the quote netflix monthly viewing exceeded 1 billion hours for the first time ever in june which seems -- he thought that was fairly innocuous, but the s.e.c. says it violates regulation fd which is the public disclosure. you have to make full and fair public disclosure of what would be considered material nonpublic information. and hastings says this is crap. he's dismissing the s.e.c. contention saying he did not believe that the post was material on facebook. in a letter yesterday he also suggested that because the post was accessible to more than 244,000 subscribers to the page, it was very public. shares of netflix not much happened. there are other things happening with the company, too. we'll talk with an analyst who covers netflix in about 11 1/2 minutes. >>>

states of michigan and missouri in the procurement. and as a result of that procurement, a new manufacturer that is chosen to locate in the state of illinois, because governor quinn actually aggressively went after that manufacture before it was even known that they would be building any rail cars for this initiative, nepa located their facility in rochelle illinois and have higher 250 people and that is from nothing. we weren't competing with other states. those jobs are new jobs to the united states, new jobs to illinois. so that's cleared a success story. that facility also is making some transit cars for metro which is suburban chicago fixed rail system for commuters. so that is a big success story. and i think i talked briefly about normal illinois. my comments, normal illinois is home to illinois state university, and that in illinois is the station with the second highest ridership, second only to chicago. and that's because they have built this wonderful station to they use tiger funds to build the station. that is a station that connects the riders getting off of the t

and the private health insurance of my sister-in-law who worked 20 years in a metal factory in michigan, one of the few remaining. she retired the minute she could. she worked her little fingers to the bone making shelves for walmart. she retired after 20 years. her wages went from $5 an hour to $10 an hour. she was not able to get medicare. she was 62. she's waited every month to get closer to 65 to get that help. >> lower the age of medicare to 55. make that the bargaining point. >> that's my point. when i was envoking the idea of the symbolic idea, how did it get to the point where the white house feels there's such -- >> they are not proacting. >> there's a term that greg from "the washington post" came up with. the idea is republicans have been making noise for the last few years about the deficit. democrats have mimicked the noise. yes, we have a huge deficit problem. you get in public opinion polls, overwhelming majorities say yes. they look at the polls and respond to it. something similar happened on medicare. we have the notion of there's a medicare crisis. there's an entitlement.
